ICTV are working with NLDC to offer FREE training in the following courses:
Flash for Web, Film Effects & After Effects
Flash for Web starts 17th February Create an animated advert for web & social media sites. Use Adobe Flash to design an advert or promotional clip, animate your design, add colour effects and filters and stylise your work This is a 8 week introduction course, 2 hours per week. Learners will be given the opportunity to develop skills in flash for web applications. Working as a team the sessions will focus around creating an advert for marketing and promoting ICTV. The flash for web concept can then be used for social networking websites to showcase ICTV and reach audiences and customers in a more user friendly and interesting way.
Film Effects starts 5th March Use film effects to customise an effect to suit your style, transform your camera view, turn colour footage into an old black & white movie and stylise your footage. This is an 8 week introduction course, 2 hours per week. Learners will have the opportunity to specifically develop the use of effects packages in film. This will include creating and customizing new looks in film to expand on the useof effects and the applications in a professional market. Options such as grading, GPU, stylization and colour spectrum. Participants will work with footage specifically designed for the course, as well as footage that they may have recorded themselves prior to the tutorials.
After Effects - Start date coming soon Use the after effects collection to create titles, select animated effects for your titles, customise your own effects selection, save your own customised setting and create backgrounds for your titles. This is an 8 week introduction course, 2 hours per week. The learners have the opportunity to develop use of After Effects for film. Applications will be explored such as animation, expression controls, keying images and blurs to create animated titles and add effects to film by example; smoke rising and lightning.
Courses are FREE and available to people over the age of 19. Basic IT skills are required.
